Parent Partnership
We believe in working in partnership with parents. It is crucial to a child’s learning and development that you feel involved in your child’s day-to-day experiences when in our care. Thus, strong communication and sharing information with parents is paramount to our success.
Working in Partnership
Quality Child Care
Each child will be allocated a member of staff known to the parent and child as your child’s Key Person’ they will have knowledge and understanding on how children learn and develop and will have the unique understanding of what your child’s current interests and needs are. Furthermore, the ‘Key Person’ builds a positive relationship with the child so that they feel safe and secure as they settle in, giving them confidence to participate and enjoy their time at SECRET GARDEN Nursery.
The ‘Key Person’ observes the child to ensure that the care we provide meets their individual needs. Parents involvement is essential in this so we keep them regularly involved on child’s progress and, in turn, the information parents provide to ‘Key Person’ about child’s interest, development and experience at home helps us to build on child’s development.
The key methods that we use to sustain communication with parents/guardians include: Child’s Online Learning Journey; Child’s Key Person; Parents’ meetings; Newsletters, and Open Days.
